Compatibility Assessment:
All dogs will be evaluated thoroughly at the time of first admission. This series of tests allows Happy Paws to maintain overall safety of the community. We will be happy to provide customers details of our testing procedure upon request.
Vaccinations:
Dogs must be current on all standard vaccinations including rabies, distemper, heart worm and bordetella (required every six months). These requirements are for the safety of your dog and our staff. We will need a copy of these vaccinations before your first visit. Your local vet may fax these records to us at (704) 731-0829 or if you prefer you may bring a copy of the records with you.
Puppy Care
Happy Paws gladly accepts puppies after the age of 16 weeks. All puppies must have completed the 'puppy-series' of shots with a Doctor's certificate. Young guests must be spayed or neutered by their sixth month anniversary.
Flea and Tick Control
All dogs must have regular use of a topical, liquid four week flea and tick preventative (such as Frontline). Happy Paws has Frontline available for sale. The cost per application is $25.00. The dog owner may purchase and apply the preventative. Happy Paws employees may not apply this product for you.
Restrictions:
For the safety of you and your pet we cannot accept certain breeds: Pit-bulls, Akitas, Chows, Rottweilers, Malamutes, Presa Canario. We do require that your dog be spayed or neutered.
All canine customers of Happy Paws Daycare and Kennel must be spayed or neutered.
At Happy Paws we have individual play areas for small and large dogs. This separation ensures a safer environment for your dog. The small dog area accommodates dogs 35 lbs. and under. The large dog area accommodates dogs over 35 lbs.
